Plaque in boho style by Kasia Salmanowicz

Hello;))
This time I’ll show you my mixed media project in the boho style. This is the subject of the work assigned to Daily ART Design Team, so this is a kind of challenge for me! I made a decorative plaque in intense colors with beautiful flowers. Do you want to know how to do it? I invite you to a small step-by-step tutorial

Of course, I began my boho style mixed media project with planning. I chose the elements that will be used in the project.

I painted my plaque with White Gesso.

There were two holes so that one could hang it. I do not need those. I covered the unnecessary holes with Fine Texture Paste to hide them, and let the paste dry.

Using a mask-plastic stencil, I applied Daily ART Stencil Paste in a bronze color. Stencil Paste has a beautiful, intense metallic color and dries very quickly. I used the Daily ART stencil. Then I took my embellishments and decorative details and put the whole composition with boards and flowers together.I also used sisal and small pieces of gauze. I glue everything with Gel Medium Matt. It is a transparent medium that glues very well on all kinds of surfaces.

I chose the colors of Spray Inks, which I associate with the style of boho. Intense pink – Carmine, strong turquoise – Emerald, a bit of Sepia (because I love it) and gold-brown shiny accents with Glimmer Ink Spray Bronze. I colored the whole composition with Mixed Media Spray Inks and water. I don’t spray the mist directly on the work, I only dispense the color with a brush and add water. I feel better control of color then.

After Spray Inks become dry, I added lighter accents with Daily ART White Gesso highlighted the edges with Acrylic Paint, black. To complete the boho style project I gently applied Bronze Patina, to add some shiny highlights.

Here we are.  Gently bleached colors, splashes with mists, flowers and a bow.

Have a nice day,

Hello in spring!
Today I’d like to show my spring notebook with pastel acrylic paint and flowers. I’m a fan of brown shades, so I added a little Deep Brown accent very gently;) It’s a series of Vintage Paints in subdued colors.

I painted the cover of the notebook with White Gesso and added a fabric patch to make some structure on the surface. Next, I used a stencil and my new favorite medium – Sand Texture Paste. I put their beautiful paper roses and hardboard flowers of Daily ART   Additionally, a little ribbon and string to make the whole composition full. I glued everything with Gel Medium Matt.
I painted everything with acrylic paints: Mint, Pale Green, and Pink. These colors blend in beautifully. After drying, I whitened the whole gently with White Paint and splashed with the same colors paint mixed with water. At the end a few black accents with Black Paint.

Have a nice day,
Kasia Salmanowicz

Hi!
Do you like vintage style? I love, it’s my favorite I think…
Today a have wooden box which I made for my mum. She loves shades of grey, so it was an excellent gift for her birthday.I used  Vintage Sprays Silver Gray, Black and a little bit of Calypso Blue for my project.
You should try Sand Paste To make some texture. It gives fantastic results. Additionally Glass Beads which in combination with white gesso (or white acrylic paint) looks charming. In the end, I used Patina, Black Pearl color. It gives a metallic effect. And Gel Medium is a must for the project. I used it many times.

Have a nice day,

Hi!

Today I’d like to show my dreamcatcher in retro style with my favorite brown shades. I use a lot of Daily Art products in this colors… Have a look 😉

At the beginning, I cover with white gesso every wooden detail. It’s very important step when you will use water in a mixed media project. In this time I use mini frames and wooden board.

To make some texture I use Velvet Paste Onyx with a stencil. The color of this paste is very intensive so the effect is expressive! In every project, you can use Snow Paste. After drying it gives an interesting effect. You can paint it later. Glass Beads in two sizes let get some interesting structure.

To color my project I use vintage (sepia and black), glossy (melted chocolate, black) and glimmer (gold) Ink  Sprays. They have beautiful colors and amazing effect. Some elements I painted with Bronze Patina.

In the end, I added a little stamping with white acrylic paint.

I hope you like retro projects 😉

Have a nice day,

The products you might need for the art work

Hello in January,
with my the second project made for Daily ART. I love this products, so work with them is pure pleasure. It’s not a secret, that I like brown, so even in winter projects I use this color. In this time, I made retro-winter decoration with wooden snowflakes.

First  I used white gesso on my big, oval hardboard plaque.

In this inspiration, I used Stencil Marocco with Sand Texture Paste.

Next whole elements, like oval tag and decorative smaller hardboard I glued with Gell Medium Gloss. When it dries it forms a very hard coating. So we can spray it with water and Mixed Media Sprays. I use Vintage Ink Spray Sepia, White, Silver Gray, and Glossy Ink Spray Snow White and Melted Chocolate. At the end, it was Glimmer Ink Spray Bronze. This new series shimmering mists made fantastic effects. It looks like wet, but it is dry and beauty shines.

At the end, the whole project was splashed and covered with a small amount of gesso.

Have a nice day,

Hello!
I’d like to show you my first inspiration for DT Daily Art in New Year. It’s winter wooden box in shades of blue. I made ‘step by step’ photos, to show how easy and fun is work with Daily Art mixed media products.

1. I decorate hardboard die cut jewelry box. It’s sold in one sheet to submit.

2. You have to stick it yourself with a small amount of glue.

3. Later, I arranged all the elements. In the set is a small round tablet. Additionally, I used hardboard small shapes – snowflakes.

4. I covered each element with a thin layer of White Gesso.

5. On the walls of the wooden box, I put Sand Texture Paste.

6. In the next step, I glued all the elements with a Gel Medium Gloss. On the wet surface, I put Glass Beads in two sizes and dried it all.

7. When it was dry I could color it! I chose Mixed Media Vintage Ink Sprays Baby Blue and Calypso Blue. I added Glossy Ink Spray Rich Blue.

8. This is my favorite step – whitewash with white gesso. The color changes, but it’s very necessary.

Finished work looks like this 😉

Have a nice day,

Hello,

Today I’d like to show you my Christmas decoration. I love brown and I couldn’t decide on one shade, which is why I chose several of them.

First I covered the entire surface with a white gesso. Later, I used the new product of Daily Art ‘Crackle Paint Transparent’ that gives amazing results. Then, using the gel medium, I stuck all the elements, including hardboard small shapes, set snowflakes.

I used another new product which is Sand Texture Paste. You can use it for finishing or paint it, just like me.  You can also add Snow Paste.

To color my project I used Mixed Media Glimmer Spray Gold and Brown, Glossy Ink Spray Chocolate, Vintage Spray Latte and Sepia. The colors are a bit mixed up, but together they look great.

Next, I was bleaching everything with white gesso and splashed it Vintage Spray White. When it dries it gives a very distinctive white color that looks like snow.

Best Christmas wishes,
Kasia Salmanowicz

Hello,

I am so happy because this is my first inspiration for the Daily Art. I have prepared a winter mixed media frame with many fantastic products in shades of blue! I love this color, and with a bit of glitter it looks beautiful and winter.

At the very beginning I covered the white gesso. Later I used a structural paste with a mask. Then I glued all the ingredients with a gel medium. I like how the work has many layers and structures, it is very rich and can use a lot of colors. I used acrylic paints and Vintage series. New to this – the glossy spray, which shines beautifully and gives very interesting effects.

For this micro-sphere – in Daily Art you will find two sizes. They create an unusual structure in the project. At the end, the whole project was splashed with paint mixed with water and spray. I finished with blue wax paste.

Regards,
Kasia Salmanowicz
